An e-mail to the support address: the questionnaire file, the type of survey and the desired deadlines. If you need a particular dataset layout, attach an example export. If you need quotas, attach the quota assignment.
We will build your questionnaire
in SURVEYSTUDIO
Send us the questionnaire in whatever format suits you (we love Word, we tolerate Excel) and we will move it straight into your account with all the logic it needs — skips, rotations, loops and the rest. If required, we will also set up the export layout to your specification. The questionnaire will be ready for review by the agreed date.
What the work includes
We build the questionnaire in your account — the project, the data and the access rights stay with you. Requests are accepted at the support address.
The source is usually in Word or Excel. Other formats work too, as long as the questionnaire reads unambiguously.
If the dataset has to follow a particular structure, we will set the questionnaire up for it.
.sav) or Excel (.xlsx). Without a sample, the layout will follow the questionnaire. A separate service. We transfer the quota assignment into the project’s quotas.
How the work goes
Six steps from the first e-mail to the start of fieldwork. Two of them — reviewing the questionnaire and the pilot — are yours: that is where errors are found while they are still easy to fix.
We look at the questionnaire and quote an estimate in hours, the cost and the deadlines. The estimate is based on the file you sent — without the questionnaire we cannot quote a price.
In your account, during working hours. We hand the finished questionnaire over for review with a test link or a test project.
We give you a link to the finished questionnaire — go through it as a respondent several times with different answers so that you see every possible path. Check the wording, the answer options, the skips between questions, the display conditions, the order of options and the limits on numeric answers. We fix any discrepancies with the source right away.
The review checklistTen full interviews with real respondents — they stay in the database and count towards the final dataset. After that, export the dataset and check: were all the questions asked, did the answers land in the right variables, did the filters and quotas work. If something is off, write to us and we will fix it before fieldwork starts.
Set the full quota and carry on collecting. From there the project runs as usual — write to support with any questions about the questionnaire.
A pilot of ten interviews
Before the full sample we ask you to run a pilot: ten full interviews with real respondents. These are ordinary interviews in your project — they stay in the database and count towards the final dataset, so no separate test collection is needed. Ten questionnaires reveal what reading through the questionnaire does not: which variables the answers landed in, how the filters and quotas behaved, what made it into the export.
There is no need to create a separate project — the pilot runs in the same project that will later go into the field:
- In the quotas, set 10 full interviews instead of the full sample.
- Start collecting. The project will stop once the quota is filled.
- Export the dataset and go through it variable by variable.
- If everything is right, set the full quota and carry on. If you find an error, write to us and we will fix it.
Both the developer and the author of the original questionnaire can make a mistake: an ambiguous skip, a forgotten filter, two conditions that contradict each other.
Say the order of questions is mixed up, or a display condition can never be met. On a pilot that is visible at once and ten interviews have to be redone. The same error across a thousand questionnaires means restarting fieldwork, recruiting again and moving the deadlines.
Errors found during the review and the pilot are fixed free of charge.
The technical behaviour of the questionnaire: skips, display conditions, rotations, loops, calculations, quotas and the export. In the system the questionnaire must behave as described in the source you sent.
The substance: the wording of questions, the answer options and the research logic — only you know how the study should be built. That is why we agree the final version of the questionnaire with you before launch.
What to check before launch
A minimum list. The more complex the logic, the longer it gets. If it is not clear what to look at on some point, ask support.
Cost and queue
Billed by the hour. We give an estimate once we have looked at the questionnaire — we cannot quote a price from a description.
A questionnaire of average complexity takes 2–4 hours, that is from 6 600 to 13 200 ₽. Other services are on the Pricing page.
Questionnaires are taken in order. In reply to a request we name the start date and the date it will be ready for review. We work on business days from 10:00 to 19:00 Moscow time.
If the questionnaire is needed by a particular date, we book you in for that day. To hold the booking we debit an advance from your balance — an amount equal to the minimum preliminary estimate for your questionnaire. That money counts towards the development.
A booking can be cancelled with the advance returned. To do that, let us know at least one business day in advance.
Urgent tasks without a booking are also taken on — the start date depends on the current workload.
How to send a questionnaire for an estimate
Write to the support address. In reply we will send an estimate in hours, the cost and the deadlines. The fuller the letter, the more precise the estimate.

Let us discuss your questionnaire
Write to us — we will go through the questionnaire, estimate the work and name the cost and the date it will be ready.
